BREATHWORK

Breathwork is a powerful way to work with your own body and is wonderfully natural. It is an amazing and easy to use tool to aid wellbeing. Imagine having 20,000 plus opportunities every day to help you to calm, energise, uplift or relax. Well, you do. This is the approximate number of breaths you take every day.

Breathing is the only system in your body that you can control. We often don’t use it to full effect. Learning how to do this can be life changing.

Breathwork can energise, calm, soothe and create the perfect homeostasis within your body.

If someone suffers trauma or experiences anxiety, they can often be trapped in a cycle of breathing that is no longer effective but their body doesn’t understand this. Their mind is telling the body to remain vigilant and on the lookout. This stops them from allowing natural breaths. It can keep them trapped. It is a natural response and really useful in the moment but not great as a long-term thing.

Working to improve your physical and mental wellbeing, Breathwork is now being seen as a way to support people who have experienced trauma, helping to regulate the nervous system.

Breathing techniques will be given to clients who may benefit from the resource and clients can learn to take this on as a regular practice to support their internal systems and nervous system regulation.

Breathwork can also aid digestion, ease panic and claustrophobia, aid focus, help blood flow and relieve tension.

Practice, as with many things in life, makes perfect. Having some breathwork coaching allows you to go away and use the practices learned to improve upon.
